Lancaster, Pennsylvania’s Tyler Burkhart recently released his latest record, Lost Days. The lo-fi songwriter has been steadily releasing material, including his slack-folk record Sweet Spell in 2015 and 2016’s Marianne. Though the songs are released under Burkhart’s name, the project is a collective, featuring his brother Clark with friends, Anthony Galati and Derek Riley.
“When You Go Wrong” is a gloomy track that rolls in with the imminent winter. Teething with sorrow, the melancholic number is a bleak offering in laid-back despair. Coping with a loss and the grieving that follows Burkhart’s dusky vocals indulge in a dreary medley of lo-fi folk and dream pop.
