We drooled shamelessly over The Britanys at CMJ last year, and we haven’t wiped our chins just yet. Within the year, these NYC natives have garnered an impressive amount of support from A Night With The Britanys,” their single Basketholder,” and their most recent release, Get My.”

Following in legendary suit to Basketholder,” the quartet worked with”_Is This It“_ (The Strokes’ defining album in our opinion) producer Gordon Raphael  on”Get My.” Raphael’s influence is definitely present, but not overshadowing, as The Britanys’ sound is undeniably unique and seemingly timeless.

83454r5-r01-011Get My”  is a confidently paranoid track that is raw at its foundation and aggressive in its execution. The tune remains at a 10 throughout, unwavering to passing seconds and tiring drops. With electric guitar riffs, endless drumming, and incomparable vocals,  The Britanys have given us the perfect anthem to a rebellious New York City summer.

Listen to it live this weekend when The Britanys play at the Out in the Streets Festival.
