REJOICE. Surfacing from a 17-year-hiatus, the members Slowdive are testing out a batch of new material after reuniting for a massive tour a few years ago. Shoegaze was vapor when the slow dissolution of My Bloody Valentine was acknowledged by fans, but just as they had a reunion of their own, we’ve seen a rebirth of the genre for the better part of the decade.

Perhaps by design, their triumphant return is sparked by the entralling single, Star Roving, their first song in 22-years. Flurries of guitars (almost sounding like millions of pan flutes) and instrumentation blur together to form just one blob of beautiful noise, layered over Halstead’s firm vocals and Goswell’s auxiliary oooh’s.
