“It’s not gonna save yah man / but what will,” cautiously ponders frontman Joe Casey, as he warn against looking hope in things. The second single from their much anticipated LP, The Agent Intellect (via Hardly Art on 10/9) is the band at their liveliest and catchiest. Anchored by Alex Leonard’s off-kilter tempo, as bass and guitar fall into groove with anxiety inducing riff-age. Casey is at the pinnacle of his lyrical prowess, with premonitions on what won’t salvage your life and the riches of a “dope cloud” ravaging a town (presumably Detroit).
