Phoenix, AZ-based youngster advocates, PRO TEENS, recently released their freshly minted self-titled debut. The self titled may be a first under the PRO TEEN name but all seven members are very active within the Phoenix scene for the past few years, like The Wavelengths.

Record stand-out “Mona” overwhelms with reverb-brined instrumentals. Slanted rhodes organ melodies tip-toe with subtle hesitation atop vintage rhythm and blues taglines. Right in center, frontman Andy Phipps quips to his lyrical subject using taunting incantations of “do it cause I’m already dead.” The surfy rhythm and blues medley will be swirling in your temporal lobe for days.
