Beautiful Words is a beautiful thing. Oscar, an undeniably talented Brit, has recently released a longer-than-usual 7 track EP. The title track, “Beautiful Words”, perfects a pure pop aesthetic, while maintaing a certain rawness in Oscar’s sound. The tracks jump through generations and come together in a unique, addictive, and complex way that’s still effortless and simple.

“I’ll never really be happy until there’s change”, sings Oscar on “Caramel Brown”, and that change is surely coming in the form of success. Oscar’s seemingly apathetic voice is heavy in power, yet tender in emotion (think The Smiths).

Despite his only U.S. tour dates being on the west coast, we hold no grudges towards Oscar, and will eagerly await his arrival on the best coast.
