Australian “local band” Hooper Crescent recently released “Instant Lawn,” the b-side to a digital double single. The a-side, “Best in Town,” was released late last year.
The repetitive, raw nature of their sound, a commonality found throughout their music, is resoundingly reflective of reality - just a bit catchier. Their DIY take on the overwhelming and often ignored inequities of economies is contrary in sound, but expressive in sentiment.
Both tracks were released via Melbourne label Spoilsport Records.
