Philadelpha based Kennedy Freeman makes music under the project name, Highnoon. With assistance from Justin Roth, member of Soft Idiot, she wrote and recorded her debut record Semi Sweet. A solitary mix of dream pop and bits of rock, Freeman pens songs that feel personal and introspective.

“Tongue in Cheek” is a swaying ballad with a mellow tempo and snaring twang. Freeman’s pastel vocals are delivered with an even mix of melancholy and poise, augmenting the track’s lush instrumentation.
