high-sunn-blossomThe last time we checked on Justin Cheromiah, he released his umpteenth High Sunn record while preparing the release of another. In three months, the dream pop-ist is readying another record, bliss, making it his sixth album since wishes.

blossoms takes us to the familiar nu-gaze/dream pop Cheromiah has been steadily perfecting. Interlaced with intricate and swift guitar work, the track sends ripples through a basin of sentimental misgivings. Flooding with ping-ponging echo and punchy arpeggios, the track perpetuates the regretful melancholy of Power, Corruption, Lies-era New Order.

While this sort of nu-gaze shouldn’t be alien to those who listen to DIIV, Craftspells, and Wild Nothing, Cheromiah is leaving his own mark in a crowded space.
