Releasing a string of singles in late 2017 and early 2018, Henry Thompson, also known as Henoheno, had announced the impending release of Pipe Dreams. Since becoming a solo-project, the Toronto-based project has been gradually moving away from a folky sonic identity to a pop-centric sound. Even with the decadent pop garnishes, Thompson is still able to maintain the cozy sound featured on previous iterations of the project.

Rock, the record’s drippy opener with viscous reverb-infused guitars and silky synthesizers. On want to know what goes on inside / can’t remember what you look like, Thompson croons with auto-tuned vocals over an ear-candy melancholic melody that’s solemn yet catchy.
