Brooklyn-based Eaters is an ongoing collaboration between a trio. The group comprises multi-instrumentalist Bob Jones and sound engineer Jonathan Schenke with sculptor Christopher Duffy. Having worked on a duo of exhibitions by Duffy with accompanying soundtracks, the band recently released their sophomore untitled record on Dull Tools, with their debut also being untitled.

The rollicking opener Embrace the Strange is a scintillating experimental rush. Invoking the grooved mechanical sensibilities of krautrock, the track glides with chromatic riffs and lockstep beats. Amid the noise, Schenke hastily fires off a litany of modern-day qualms with a guitar veering off into a cosmic solo in its wake.
