DARK MTNS is a project based in Philadelphia, PA that consists of multi-instrumentalist Zack Robbins and guitarist Josh Mackie. The duo released their second EP a few months ago, eponymously titled dark mtns II, featuring tracks that could be described as folk-ish slowcore.

Pluming with angst and moody aesthetics, “100% Vulnerable”, takes on the slow build-up of post-rock. Being the heaviest track on the record, the unfurling ambiance gradually develops into a picturesque symphony. Crooning in unison, the synced up vocals of Robbins and Mackie glaze over the icy jittery jam. As the outro trickles in, there’s a sense of bewilderment that lingers for a bit.
