Cola is a new project featuring previous members of Ought, and U.S. Girls drummer, Evan Cartwright. Continuing their collaborative efforts, Ought members, Tim Darcy and Ben Stidworthy re-group and try to write songs under limited resources.

The band stated that they wanted to “see how far we could stretch our compositions with just drums, one guitar, one bass, and one voice”. The first peek of their efforts is the psych-flavored, “Blank Curtain”, which also marks their debut on Fire Talk records. In his typical dragging yet dynamic deadpan vocals, Darcy vocalizes dangling uncertainties while weaving in-and-out of blurry hypnotic guitar work.

The band makes their live debut on November 16th at Baby’s All Right.
