Australia isn’t just an island of vegemite, kangaroos, and grade A men (which, as a woman, I feel I have the right to say). Despite it’s plethora of all those things, there is definitely something to be said about the talent coming out of there. You got Jet, Tame Impala, The Temper Trap, Boy and Bear, The John Butler Trio, and the now resurrected AC/DC. Garnering a fan base and a following in your own country is hard enough, let alone in anoter one. Thanks to the World Wide Web however, the greatness of these musicians knows no geographic boundaries. My only hope is that a gig in New York is in the near future for these dudes…I’ll bring the vegemite!
