Hans Pucket is a New Zealand-based trio that ponders the absurdities of life with their new single, “Fuck My Life”. Callum and Oliver Devlin with drummer Jonathan Nott are the core of the project. Their new record, Eczema, is the follow-up to their festive debut Jalapeño.

A psychedelic nosh with jazz dribbling tempo, the trio work in their nonchalant technique. Fluid with a bit of danceability, the track eases into an orchestral groove with flourishes from baritone saxophones. The tilted tempo overlays the track’s underlying existential crisis (“I don’t romance, I can’t be myself / I’m shit you’re shit / This is it, what you fantasized about”) in a facetious facade.
