Good Morning is a band from Melbourne, Australia that left a deep impression on us when we came across last year’s Shawcross. Their debut EP entranced us with the carefree timbre of their golden hour pop. The band is anchored by its principle songwriters Stefan Blair and Liam Parsons, both play guitars and split lead vocal duties, with friends, John Considine and James Macleod, filling out the live line-up.
We were able to catch them during their run in NYC during CMJ, where they played a handful of songs from their forthcoming record Glory. Out early next year on Solitaire Records, “Cab Deg” is it’s first single. The duo expand their cool take on “jizz-jazz,” overlaying it with rich neo-psych euphoria that’s perfect till the very end. It between breezy verses, Parsons and Blair churn out tranquil harmonies that’s sure to be an earworm for many.
Glory is set to be released 2/1/2016 via Solitaire Records.
